Hayshire UCC was organized as a new church start in 1956. It is located in a suburban area north of the city of York, Pennsylvania.

In 2003, the congregation completed a building project with the addition of a sanctuary, a large gathering area, and 4 additional rooms. The membership stands at 325 members with a worshiping congregation of 120. The congregation has a commitment to blended worship using a variety of types of music. Children are welcome in the service of worship. The congregation is comprised of a mixture of ages of families with elementary and older children, retired people, single women and men, either widowed, widowers or divorced, and couples without children.
